I'm analyzing the difference in the USP and USP Compact. I like the USP Compact, but curious what the OB thinks.

Any personal preference based on experience?

Thanks as always

USP is a tank of a gun, true service/combat pistol. USP Compact is a chunk too, not exactly compact for a carry pistol. Either is more than accurate and durable enough to outlast you and be a great gun to put a lot of rounds through. Good SA trigger, not so much the DA trigger pull in conventional configuration but lots of options. My fullsize USP .45 is with my gf as her home defense gun at the moment.

USP .45 compact .45, stainless slide, with prob 2-3k rounds down range, never had a misfeed, I feed it a lot of FMJ 230s and I conceal carry it with Hydrashocks and it likes those too. I have the Variant with the bobbed hammer. Love it

Beast of a weapon, either way. One of the best handguns ever made. I'm an HK man through and through, but have never owned a USP. I will likely own a Compact 9mm in the future.

Maybe someday you'll find a safe queen like I did for $350...

USP and HK45C are in my carry rotation. Mostly in cooler weather when heavier clothes help hide these bricks. Daughter has a USP compact 9mm for home protection. Considering a VP9. I like HK

A few years ago someone, I think it was top gun supply, had USP 9 police trade-ins for $400.

Me too, local shop has a Mk23 SOCOM in the case. I'm tempted until I remember the price tag. Still tempted but not as much...

My brother has the compact in 9mm, it's really smooth. Very high quality.

I have a P2000, which is essentially a USPc. I don't think you can find a better polymer pistol. It's a beautiful piece of German engineering.
