Have you towed much with that frontier?

Good bit of stuff, 19 foot bass boat, 6x12 box trailer, utility trailer.

It tows it all fine, the already horrible gas mileage just gets even worse.

I average 17-19 MPG and its like 10-14 towing.

My wife's Tahoe gets better MPG

I went from a 99 frontier to a 94 Z71 and gained about 5 mpg

I have a 66 mile commute each way. My old work truck was a 2011 frontier and it got 23-25 depending on how I drove it. It was the little 4 cal with the 5 speed manual. My current truck gets 18 doing 70 on the highway. Not an apples to apples comparison though.

Here are pictures for the jackass with the Nissan that called me a liar...

First pic is my driving position, then pics of just the car seats, and finally you can see my 3 almost 4 year old sons leg room and my 1 year old daughter on the other side.

So either your car seats are obnoxiously large, Nissan is lying about the rear seat dimensions, you don't know how to properly install car seats, or the backseat in your truck is funky causing the seats to not sit flat against the back. Either way I'll take my apology whenever, haha

Plenty of room! shite that looks comfortable, your kid could almost stretch his legs

Oh and your 1 year old shouldn't be front facing Mr car seat expert.

Well I tried to give you an out with some sarcasm, but you are just going to double down on being wrong.

1. Yes, that is plenty of leg room for both the driver, and a 3 year old. Certainly not knees in the dash like you claimed. I don't need my kid river dancing back there, just room to let his legs hang.

2. In Tennessee, the state law is one year old and over 20 lbs can go forward facing. Maybe the blogs with a bunch of overprotective stay at home mom say otherwise. And maybe the law is different where you live, but for me it is perfectly safe and legal.

Again, I stated in my first post, it's not a vehicle for going on cross country road trips, but for driving around town and 2 hour weekend trips it is perfectly fine.

Edited to say, you are so concerned about a 3 year old being able to swing his legs around, but you want to keep a 2 year old rear facing sitting Indian style squished against the back of the seat...

Haha, they were like 30 bucks at academy. More for function than style

They help hide the claustrophobic atmosphere

Just messing man, I get it works for you and it's "plenty of room" in your eyes. It just isn't in mine, but she's paid for.

It's all about if it's enough for you

Yeah, it's all about what work for you. That's why I would highly recommend taking it on an extended test drive. You don't want to make a 35k mistake.

I posted earlier, but I wasn't sure a Chevy guy was allowed in a Taco thread.

I really like the Colorado. It gets 22/27. (I don't have a lead foot.) So far good on reliability, just like the Silverado I drove 12 years that my son still drives.

Most of my driving is commuting 24 miles into NOLA CBD. It is easier to park in a downtown garage than a full size.

It can haul everything I need to haul to deer camp.

I have towed right up to the 7000# max towing a tractor. I didn't enjoy that. The truck was very slow and only got about 14mpg that day. It tows a 2000# bayboat like it's not there.

The lack of width in the bed along with the Bakflip cover makes it less usefull for helping people move. I like that!

I've taken trips with 4 adults and plenty luggage and equipment in the bed. I've had 5 passengers driving around town. Interior rides about like a midsize SUV.

It does everything I need a vehicle to do and would be OK for a younger family, but I am glad I had the larger Silverado when my kids were still home.
