Been catching the shite out of them in one of my buddy's private ponds, trolling with jigs in a 2 man bass boat, most relaxing fishing ever

Heard good reports anywhere south of i10. North of 10 they seem to only be catching white perch. And for some reason around Shreveport they are catching mostly crappie.

I think you mean white perch, the correct name.

Been hammering them in the lower Spillway (Shell Cuts/ Little Bayou Long area), until the rise that started last weekend. All the big females disappeared when the water started rising.

I'm from Shreveport and never ever heard the term crappie when I was a kid. It was white perch or nothing.

Probably making my first yak trip of the year this afternoon. Wind will suck. I'll probably just tie off to snags.

Indian Creek.

I bought my latest kayak because of seat issues with my first. So what do I do yesterday when in a hurry? Leave without my freakin seat. Turns out you can make a decent seat out of a Yeti Hopper and a life jacket.
