caught 8 in bayou gauche yesterday. kept a mixed bag of goggle eye, bass, catfish, and sacs.

was a strange day. on a side note the cottonmouth population was out of control in a 100 yard stretch. of course i got hung up close to the bank a few times there and in the yak I was puckered up tight.

ETA: all were full of eggs

Caught 4 on Saturday morning. Spent way too much time fishing shallow. Ended up catching all 4 on isolated trees in 3-5' of water mid morning.

Cleaned them. No eggs in any of them.

That leads me to believe they are moving back out.

While a few of ours had eggs, I think most are too. Really scattered for me, and when the move is out to up, I catch more than one in a given spot shallow. These were super random.

Yeah, I was catching about 1 an hour. Of course, when I did catch one, I'd fish around the whole tree really hard to see if there were more around. No luck.

Caught 35 on caddo sat. All in 6-10' of water and about half full of eggs but no big fish. Fished way too long shallow and caught one in the usual spots - a big male. I don't think it's happened yet there - water was 61.5 warmest I could find by mid afternoon Saturday. This week and next should be good though.
