Heard 2 reports last week.

One guy caught 2 dinks and went home the other caught 40 keepers.
Not sure which one to believe.

Will make a trip soon.
Then will be there for a week around March 18th.

Have a tournament at IC the end of Fenruary so anyone have any reports from there would be appreciated.

OBC probably limited out on stripes, largemouth, and perch..

All between his limited of mallards and pintail and his killing of a 12 point with a spear after getting 40 squirrel..

And that was all before lunch

This might be the wrong place to ask but are there any shallow flats on that lake that can be poled for sight casting?

Heard the water is real high. Wait a few months then you may have luck when the spawn starts

It is. Contrary to other reports, that's messed up the duck hunting.

As to fishing though...

I just saw on the lunker programs facebook page that someone just caught a 10.72 this past week and got it on video.

There has already been 6 or 8 caught over 10 lbs. since 1-1-16.

Traps been good late evening on sunny days that have warned the banks...had two different reports it's been good 40 + fish. All the reds and craw traps. Also small drop shot in 10 to 12 ft has caugh 2 of the last 3 over 10lbs. Up at the bend. And my neighbor up there at the camp seen a guy land 2 both over 6lbs on a dropnshot in front of his camp over the weekend. Heating up...biggest fall in February March. Trap time, my favorite even tho I through a series of small crank baits instead of traps but still

Didn't make the trip due to weather.

Will try again this weekend.
I'll give a report when I get back.

Club tourney last weekend I caught a little over 12 pounds, all shallow. Best one was a little over 4.

Two guys had 18+ pound stringers and they both said they caught their fish deep.

I caught a good bit of fish, just a lot of smaller ones. All on either a squarebill or a spinnerbait.

My boss fished Saturday.

Caught 5 fish. 1 over 4 lbs and the rest about 2 lbs.

This is the time of year those baws killed them on umbrellas at 6 mile. It was one this morning. I always say I am going to do it, yet never do.

Wait a few months when the spawn starts? It will be half over in a few months. First Spawners will be on next full moon. They are fish shallow full of eggs now.

Got a new trolling motor and sonar/gps to install on my boat, but can't ever seem to get the time for chasing the damn squirrel dog. Going to hit them hard when the water warms up a little and the bushes get hot.

There's a group page on Facebook - "Toledo Bend Fishing Reports" and there are a lot of fish being caught lately. Variety of baits from traps to drop shots.
