I am really wanting a Ruger SR22 pistol and a Super X3. I could get the SR22 now, but will get more use out of the SX3. To get the SX3 I have to sell my SX2 to fund the purchase. I am not OB balling.
So what does the OB think? New plinker that will spend a lot of time in the truck riding, or a new shotgun that will get hunted with often? Also is $650 about right for an asking price on my SX2 with 1 factory tube and 2 after market tubes and sling?

TIA

Lefty- Ammo isn't a huge issue, I got a few of those.
AU- that's the plan, but got to pace myself...

I've got plenty of .22, but I hear of people all the time not being able to find it.

If you can't swing both before dove season then id go with the x3. I've got the maxus and love it. I always like to use dove season as a warmup for teal season.

That's kind of what I am thinking.
So does $650 sound right for the SX2?
Shadow Grass
Dura-touch
28" brl
Chambered 2.75- 3.5
Factory tube, skeet choke and Haydel's extended range tube
Drake sling
I may list it without the haydels tube and sling and try $600.

I have a 9 that I am happy with. Don't really need 2.

Why? When I read what's below, in your opening post, it was pretty clear to me what you are going to do.

Then you later confirmed it.

Thanks Tiga.
How about some input on my asking price for my X2? The $650 is what I think it's worth, but I have no idea.

I really don't know anything about an X2. I'd definitely put my hunting needs ahead of plinking too though.

$600 looks like it'd be in the ballpark of possibilities. I just googled sx2 shotgun for sale and that's a good median price estimation.

Got the money to buy the SX3, but the store doesn't have it now. They do have a Beretta A391Extrema 2, in black for $870. I do not know if it has the kick-off system. Any opinions? Wait for an SX3 or go with the Beretta

Which feels the best when you shoulder them? I'm not a Beretta fan. They feel like pure arse to me when I shoulder them. They don't fit me at all. With that being said whenever we shoot skeet I can not miss with my wife's Beretta for some reason. I'm not a huge Maxus/SX3 fan either. Those guns just don't do it for me. If I was dead set on spending $800 or so on a great duck gun then there's only one option I'd be looking for.....
Browning Auto 5 Mag Stalker w/28" Invector barrel.

Now that my friend is a Man's duck gun

The SX3 feels really good to me out of the box. The Berreta has the longest pull adjustment in it and it feels long, but it has a shorter shim in the box. The A5 you mentioned, is that the new model or an older used gun?
