My girlfriend gets Time Magazine and I'll admit the few articles I read fire me up because they are left slanted but this is a very good read on the comparison of animal populations today versus before the wildlife conservation was put into place.

TL;DR
We need to increase limits, season durations etc. in quite a few areas.

I can't leave my grandparents subdivision in north San Antonio without seeing 50 deer and almost running over 20 of them.

For all of the people that are bitching about "pests", bring the fricking deer to my house. I'll take good care of them

I didn't read the article, but there are other causes to animals being in neighborhoods, like the fact that the neighborhood was built where those animals use to live.

In the hill country there's so many you may not hit one, but most likely one will hit you. We've had more deer dart out and hit the sides of our vehicles than we've actually hit.

I glanced at it while picking up some groceries and it mentioned how some cities have legalized bow hunting inside city limits, and that more should. It's pretty pro-hunting from what I saw.
