Explain this to me:
So he was poaching on his own land? Why wouldn't he have had land owners permits? If that excerpt is true, pretty funny he was caught by other hunters poaching on his own property.

its a big resort, not really a ranch. Houses, townhomes, small hotel... People vacation there

Shooting an animal that isn't in season or legal is considered poaching regardless of who owns the property.

I don't know about his ranch or Wyoming specifically, but most of them have landowner tags especially for cows. My comment had more to do with how do you get in trouble for illegally shooting a cow elk on your own ranch? I would think you'd have to literally bend over backwards breaking the law to do this. Most of the time if a cow was shot, the owner would have a legal means of tagging it even if shot accidentally.

You could tell just watching his shows what a douche he is

It's Wyoming. You can see for miles.

I'm assuming he just didn't care and didn't want to burn one of those landowner tags he could use on something else on a cow he accidentally shot. Terrible situation all around but I'm glad he got busted.

He could have just said he shot the Bull Elk and the spinner flew of the WGI feeder and slayed the little cow.

Thank God someone saw, because Lord know his game cameras wouldn't have caught him.

Very easy to see things out West with big glass and planes, even when on a different property.

Oh I understand how they were physically seen plenty well, what I was referring to was how the hell a landowner with probably 1000s of acres gets caught for illegally harvesting a cow elk. That's like a landowner in the east shooting a doe white tail illegally during the doe season. You have to literally go out of your way to find a way to do that illegally in most states.
His biggest mistake was he should of just hauled the cow calf off and acted like they harvested.

Or he could have just not shot like a frickin 9 yr old boy.

This is probably what it looks like them hunting.
This is what the kill looked like on their game camera at the feeder.

He is a non-resident, so that might have something to do with it.
cant tell which is his hunting district, but for the time frame, two of the 3 districts that could be his, have quotas on cows.

WildGame Nation has been suspended by the Outdoor channel. Id like to think I had a part in this by submitting my review on their site
