Shoot them all but at least hold them and dry fire to see what fits your hand.

I have the midsize Springfield XD in 9mm, and Glock 22, and 23 in 40 cal. they all perform flawlessly.

For home protection can't beat the Glock 17 with 17 hollow points in the magazine. I like something smaller for Cc like the glock 43 or shield 9 or glock 26

Glock 17. 19 is the best all around though if you think you're ever going to carry (not considering compacts, just talking full size glocks)

If you go with a Glock, look into an aftermarket trigger connector to improve the trigger.

I got one for my G19, and the guy popped it in right at the register. It was only about $20, and it made me much more accurate with the gun.

if you are looking at a sig p320 also consider the walther ppq and hk vp9.

if you enjoy or are interested in modding than the S&W MP9 with an apex trigger is worth a look.

The ghost connector really lightens and makes the trigger more consistent. Well worth it but its pretty light for cc.

I know the 40 cal is really out of favor now, but i just saw a brand new H&K P30 v. 1 go for $490 on gunbroker. That is insane for the quality pistol you are getting. The light LEM is the shite too. Love that trigger, especially for a self home defense/target shooter combo.

Finally someone recommends a hammer fired HK. I saw a 9mm P30sk LEM for $575 on Bud's.

Get the extended mag.
