Good luck OB. Wish I could make one more hunt. Wife will not have it.

MOT, I see that you hunt a lot, nearly everyday and it seems like the same blind. Do you ever change it up? (Not bashing - just curious)

No I don't change it up. This is really my first season deer hunting at all. I just never really got into it when I was younger, and I normally use up just about all of my vacation time early each year turkey hunting....which I would do every day if I could.

So right now I just bow hunt this little field behind a house, and with the way the property lines fall there isn't much else to do. If I get hooked I'll look at joining a lease and putting more time in. But right now it's just something to pass time between football season and turkey season.

My Pops got called into work. Cutting hunt short to help him pack up. Bringing home 3 deer so the season is saved. Good luck today, OB.

Interesting. I might launch the pirougue on the creek on rosaryville rd one day and see what happens

Shot one grey at daylight. Saw other birds that would work for awhile, but never commit. Was frustrating morning

About Gosh Damn time. Just dropped. Doe about 10:30am. Had two young bucks circling my box this AM after putting out doe estrous and then three does came in. Waited as long as my "no deer shooting this season arse" could to see if a buck would come trailing and then put the bigger nanny down. I'm relieved that I can prove to my wife I really do go hunting.

Sorry for the rant. Now do I stay and hunt the evening or go home and get dragged to a three years olds birthday party. Do I hunt the same stand? Saw 5 there this morning or change it up? I need to capitalize on the one day I'm actually seeing deer.

Yes, but if in Louisiana, there is a shite load of rain coming.

I would as long as there was activity.

I'm in Mississippi. Rain coming this way too, but maybe not until after dark so may get more movement before that hits also.
