Word. I got a bottle of Duchesse de Bourgogne saved up for just this occasion. It's gonna taste extra good tonight.
The Skandi Neptune ROV just moved in closer and you can see the stack pretty well now. Maybe they were standing off in case it blowed up. There is sort of a plug in the main outlet of the stack now and clearly no oil flowing from the kill or choke and it's the prettiest sight I've seen in a while.

No word. They may not say anything at all until they're sure. I'm sure they don't want to get everybody's hopes up until they have definitive data.
It did happen fast. I was expecting to see the flow decrease more and more until it stopped. I looked up at my monitor and went...hey where did the oil go? The ROV was so far away that I couldn't really tell for sure if it had stopped or not.
