Don't judge slow. You have no idea the horror of losing a child.

Whatever helps the grieving parent deal with the loss. If they find comfort in that thought, more power to them.

Some people would find it weird that a grown man has a roomate.

Whatever helps them grieve, my friend. I'd rather die the slowest, most painful death every single day for eternity than lose my child once.

Besides, it's not like we can affirmatively say they're wrong.

No. My friend lost her 13 year old son to cancer

Every time one of their st Jude's friends dies, she talks about how they're in heaven together

It's super sad. But not weird

Losing a child has to be the most painful thing a human can go through. Whatever helps them cope, in any way, is fine.

I don't believe in Heaven but I would never say that in conversation with someone who lost someone.

I would just say "they are in a better place" and that seems to be all they want to hear.

No. One of my brothers lost his eldest in a small plane crash in 2002 shortly after he graduated from college. At family gatherings his name still comes up in conversation among my siblings and his older cousins. I am the oldest of my siblings. That nephew and I had a special bond as he was the eldest of his siblings. We often spoke about that. He was also the eldest grandchild.

We all feel a loss, but his immediate family has truly been scarred by his death. I only have one child and do not know how I would handle his loss.

Anything a parent needs to do to cope with such a horrendous loss is OK in my book.

I very nearly lost my daughter when she was 18months. I don't believe in heaven and all that but in that bleakest hour when I was expecting her to die and wondering if I should kill myself, it would've been a comfort.

well technically if i'm judging, it's not the actions of the person who is currently grieving the loss

Some things, you just have to go with it and don't over think it.

This doesn't make sense, my neice died last Christmas day and our entire family is grieving and it hasn't gotten better.

My parents lost their first child three days after he was born. The only picture we have of him is the one they take immediately after your born. The weird thing is if you look at my picture like that and his we look exactly alike. We would also have been something like 17 years apart. I sometimes think about him.

Well said.
I have a close family member that lost two daughters.

It changes a man.
