More park acreage than any of the other 10 most populous U.S. cities.

Why don't you compare a google map of houston's inner loop to manhattan. I'm pretty sure there's less park acreage (as a percentage of the total) in houston's loop than there is in the concrete jungle of manhattan.

Why don't you, since the answer won't contradict the statement you quoted regardless of the answer.

Well, test your theory. I'm not going to do your homework for you, sport.

I know, but you are cherry picking stats because Houston is huge.

Houston is ~13% park land
NYC is ~20%

Haha, glad you're above cherry picking.

Your stats also tell me that Houston's Park land per capita blows NYC out of the water.

Eta: that file actually helps Houston's case the more I read it. Interesting stuff.

You live in the suburbs.

Yeah it will be expensive, but I am just thinking in terms of ridership.

The city will soon be campaigning for more efforts to bridge UH in with the rest of the city.

in order to make a rail line feasible it would need to go further past rice university. so in theory people living in West U can use the rail to go to Rice.

Yeah, there's more than one way to look at it. I'm just saying that your OP was all like "OMGZ look at all of Houston's parks." When you start to compare it to other cities, you realize that it's neither the worst nor the best in most categories, with the exception of total park acreage.

that's amazing considering I've never met, or heard of, a person taking a vacation to Houston at any point in my life

No, drama queen, that wasn't it. I quoted an article, and put it up against the retarded "ZOMG Houston is a concrete jungle." That was very clear.

That's exactly my point. There was no need to dramatize what you think I was saying, just so you can bring it back down to exactly what I was saying in the first place.

So another way to say it, based on your data, is Houston is almost as much a concrete jungle as Philly, Chicago, Seattle, ..., .... Agreed?

You don't know anyone who went to the LSU-Wisconsin game? That is pretty amazing.
