Doesn't Houston have more acreage in general than all US cities? Curious of the ratio of parks vs total acreage.

meh. it's also has more total acreage than any of the top 10 most populous US cities
and it can only boast this claim because of huge parks like George Bush that are pretty far removed from the city proper.

The Houston Grand Opera is incredible. I don't even like opera but can appreciate the talent they bring to the stage.

True. You could also say that the general population is only able to use about a 3rd of Memorial park, and that 3rd includes a golf course. A huge part of memorial is nothing but dense forest. Great mountain biking but not everyone in Houston is able to take advantage.
There is a pretty legit masterplan being proposed now tho. It would include a land bridge.
Houston does have some nice parks that are only getting better.
If Houston would ban all Billboards then it would be a better city to visitors. Not a very scenic city.

The Buffalo Bayou project really has come along nicely as far as adding green space in the center of the city

Parts of Houston are nice places to live, but I wouldn't want to visit. Sort of like Birmingham.

I like living here, but new york, San Fran, new Orleans, etc >>>>>>Houston
