College is literally suppose to be the exact opposite of what she says it is

The generational differences are illustrated perfectly in this exchange between the husband-wife professors and students.

I have no problem with her airing her grievances. It's the way she went about doing it. She obviously incapable of speaking in a professional and responsible manner. Screaming...shouting... It's smoke and mirrors to cover up her weakness.

Yale isn't "nurturing"...college isn't a nursery. Take mother's breast out of your mouth and act like an adult. You cannot speak to other adults...employers...clients like that and expect a positive result. Your reputation will be quickly tarnished. The real world will be a rude, rude awakening for this young woman.

shite like this makes me question my stance on not hitting women, because someone really needs to smack the shite out of her.

Dr. Christakis's response:

No one, especially no students exercising right to speech, should be judged just on basis of short video clip.

While the girl was out of line and deserving of punishment, it should also be noted that Yale is a school and Christakis is a teacher. There has to be some kind of mentorship and guidance from the school to the students.

This is a teachable moment. The question is how will yale and Christakis use it? How receptive will the girl and her group be?

I imagine this is where academia will begin to separate from these extremist SJW views. Once they see that SJWs are just snakes looking to bite the weak, they'll drive them out of the academy.

I hope.

I'm curious how this all came to fruition. did she just see him on campus and call him out on the spot...was this arranged to be a public debate...it seems like only minorities care to show up and it was in a pretty central location. and the snapping thing? is this a formal/proper way to express your agreeance(yea i made that up) with a specific point being made? i don't doubt this is real, but I'm curious how it got set up... seem like it was a pre arranged function...

And mentorship that is beneficial would be suspension/expulsion. That's exactly what would happen here in the real world.

this can all be summed up by south parks take on sjw's this season.

They don't care about those they are allegedly trying to protect, they don't care about the cause, they care only about themselves and their inner insecurities.

The best point the professor made it the snap video was that just because you want an apology doesn't mean your request has to be honored.

I think he was going more with the let's get to the bottom of what you found offensive, and, if there is a reason that I should apologize, I will. However, as of now, I don't see anything wrong with what I wrote, so I refuse to apologize just to shut you up.

I like the dude. I'll help with the go fund me.

Smart people don't get my respect simply for being smart. People who rise above situations, regardless of knowledge/ignorance, and don't waste their talents get my respect.

I've seen the change in my lifetime. The ideology that once craved independence now cries for safety and security.

It really shows the lack of cognitive development. They are like a toddler that wants to be on their own and feel independent but at the same time always look back to make sure a parent is near. Anyone that has a young child now simply needs to begin grooming that child to manage these personalities. Not a lot of people developing the skills to be effective leaders so the ones with the skills are going to be in a position to be very successful.

Best thing to do is walk away from her. Based on how aggressive she was I could easily see her placing her hands on him. That would probably be an easy way to get her sent packing.

How very Khmer Rouge of her. But hey, that is how The Left rolls. What's 100,000,000 dead between friends ? You can have your free speech, we have a society to transform.

Forward !

If she ever gets a job and talked to her boss like that, she would be fired.
