There's only so much the government can do. Eventually you have to allow someone to build on their own property. It has to be built to code, have adequate parking and utilities.

Meanwhile, Southgate Towers is adding 455 units including 6-bedroom units. Who the hell wants to live in a 6-bedroom apartment?

I live there now unfortunately. Management is awful, matinence is worse, and then you add in this shite I came home to last night. I was actually trying to sublet my apartment so I could leave for a much better apartment, but that isn't gonna happen now. Anyone ever broken a lease before? I would've never tbought to do it before but this is pretty ridiculous. Not sure what the ramifications are

Same here. I have to stay in BR until December and thought about renewing my lease this upcoming week but I'm having my doubts now. This doesn't surprise me though considering the amount of people I see on the basketball court when I come home at night that I know for a fact do not live there.

You can probably use this to your advantage and negotiate a killer rate.

Not just that, but federal law essentially forces communities to allow it. Forced suicide, plain and simple.

The average South Baton Rouge homeowner doesn't bat an eye at third world drama.

What about section 8 housing for the elderly and handicapped? Do your homework...not all section 8 housing is bad. Some of it serves a legitimate purpose.

Then they should separate it.

Get rid of Section 8 that turns decent neighborhoods into ghettos.

Have Section 010 to help out elderly people who have worked hard. Most of them are awesome.

Have Section 01548130 for those who have a true disability.

Lazy Leeches shouldn't get anything for free. Make them work on labor farms for room and board.

Section 8 is a success as far as I'm concerned. Sucks for you I guess.

That's sad for Ms. January and her family. You make it out of a complete shithole in Gary, Indiana. Get a scholarship and don't survive your first year in college getting killed at a college party of all things.

If you're going to throw a thing like that you've got to be vigilent to keep undesirables out that are only ther to sell drugs to students and get their dicks wet.

It's very sad. Two lovely young women struck down at the beginning of their adult lives.

I could be mistaken, but I believe he was referring to the lives of your friends. Which is horrible.

The latest Balls Deep episode on Vice was about high school graduation in Gary. The difference between smart kids and dumb kids was shocking. They separate them in different schools though (which is smart)
