In my experience Girls who don't get along with their dads or have no father figure are nothing but trouble and I've seen that sentiment shared by many. What is your thoughts on it

They tend to be more emotional which is terrible but what they can do in the bedroom makes up for it.

I am dating one right now, although it's only been 3-4 weeks, it's been fun so far.

ETA: she's someone I met through friends. Pretty normal and independent. Her dad is a raging alcoholic that lives in FL.

Pretty wide net you're casting. Not sure I could hate on a girl who's father was abusive/alcoholic/cheater. Not everyone grows up in a perfect 2 parent household.

Depends on the circumstances. Just because your dad wasn't in your life doesn't give you an excuse to be a huge bitch.

Some dads (and/or moms) are shitty. Doesn't necessarily mean their children are unstable.

Is it an indicator? Yeah. But it's not absolute.

I married one who's dad left when she was 7, she's as crazy as bat shite.

Trying to get rid of her crazy arse currently, it's been 11 years of hell.

Here's the exception---maybe everybody has a bad relationship with her dad. Maybe her dad is a pos. Maybe she's just into self- preservation. Anybody with a toxic parent knows what I'm talking about. Sometimes people have to overcome their crappy parents just to get on with their lives.

Quitter. You should stay, put yourself through Hell on repeat, and try to heal them.

Take this to the bank:

if you want to know about the girl, watch how she interacts with her father, brothers

if you want to about about the guy, watch how he interacts with his mother, sisters...

My wife's father left the family when she was under 10 years old. The results are what the individual makes of the situation. I've been with her for 21 years now and the absent father just made her a stronger person. The only effect I have seen is that she makes demands on me to make sure I put forth extra effort to bond with our daughter, but that is a positive thing.

Like many things, you hear stories about the negatives but not the positives. Sure, we've all seen and heard "daddy issues" stories, but there are also some that took the negative situation and made themselves stronger.

Have a friend who went out on her own at 16 bc both parents were deadbeats. She is very successful. Started out as a nurse and now she is in the upper management of a hospital. I'm sure she is the exception though. Btw, she is very grounded and a good person
