I'm the court proceedings it specifically said I would be eligible immediately. My dang lawyer went work for the DA during my probation so he can't rep me. All the other lawyers want double what he wanted. I'm working on doing it myself.

Where did this happen? Here in Ellick?

Gotcha. Can't believe that's a felony. Dude, you couldn't have gotten that pleaded down or some shite? I mean, at least you're not considered a sex offender, but dang, a felon over that?

Listen to me.

Find a lawyer.
Pay the money.
Make it go away.
Forever.

I know I know, but right now my question is would a company be flying out people to take me to lunch if they planned on moving forward despite my background?

Thanks I did 50+ hrs of counseling and community service. I got a first offender pardon in March. I'm pretty much on track, just wondering based on how the company has spent so much money already knowing full well the background issue at every turn is if looks like they plan on moving past it.

I think, if a gov clearance is involved, no.

A sales gig, clean otherwise, including driving record, you're probably OK.

But felonies...

Get that shite fixed.
(No offense )

You'll be fine man. They definitely would not have wasted their time and money by interviewing you and flying out to meet you. For real tho.

An attorney here in BR had the same bullshite charge in college for pissing in public. If they have an issue with it, ask if they will change their mind if you get it expunged.

Yeah I know, but my driving record is pristine. What was unique is on the application they ask a ton of questions and info on the driving record. They had one question about felony and in it they asked you list what you had done to rehabilite yourself. Never saw that on an app.

I got a first offender pardon which allows me to vote and have all my rights back. Don't know how it affects my record.

Car insurance is out the arse, as is all G/L.

Bad credit and bad driving record prevents a lot of hires.

Your good driving recor is probably more importantl to them, TBH.

If it was back in college, it is past the ten year window. Get it expunged?

Got arrested in 2011. Played the bounce around the legal system for a while, by design from my lawyer I guess before finally getting a deal done in 2013. Two years probation and done.

Well before I got sentenced I did voluntary counseling on advice from my lawyer. My insurance covered it and it helped me with the judge.

Just finished probation in Feb and got pardon document in March. I don't think its as useful as an expungement. Anyway my lawyer and I had a plan to get the expungement done for cheap because of how much he made off of me and he was going to speak to all parties before I paid him to make sure I wouldn't waste money.

Well he got a job for the new DA here just as I finished probation. Any lawyer now wants double the price and won't talk to anyone until I pay. Working on filling out the paperwork myself.

It's customary for the manager to fly into the area of the candidates for preliminary interviews.

If you are interviewing more than one person it's cheaper to fly one person in than 5 to corporate.

It also allows the manager to get some time in the territory.

I have really good credit and a clean driving record. I get a company car and credit card. So you might be right.
