Never wanted to stay in the same place for more than a year.

I lived in Brigthside Estates & Park Place Condominiums. Definitely had more fun in Brightside. But Park Place was nicer.

oakbrook suites? might be it. the suites part was very nice. i moved there in 01 after sterling. stayed there until southgate towers opened. that pool there though was legit

tbh, too many girls lived there. with it being a high rise condo, the trash situation was terrible. none of the lazy girls on any floor not near the trash pipe just put trash in the hallway. or if they actually made it to the room with the trash chute, they were too prissy to touch the handle of the chute to throw the trash down the pipe so they would just throw it in the room. i used to go through the trashbags and find mail so i could go drop their garbage at their doors. rant over

Well no students are living in Tigerland anymore. They have to live somewhere.

better problem than shite like "i once saw a guy get a bottle thrown at his head from the 3rd floor causing a goddamn riot for 2 hours" at the commons

Year on campus.
Year just off campus near the northgate
Year along burbank
Year on Ben Hur
Summer along Nicholson
Year on Brightside
Summer near River Road

So pretty much every area.

The worst apartment complex that I've been in at LSU would have to be The Venue. That placed turned into a shithole in no time.

Yep. I read something the other day that said the BR rental market is really difficult.. that a lot of big name places have long waiting lists and whatnot. I personally have never had an issue finding the right place for me, but I have definitely checked out some places that didn't call me until months later when I was well settled into a new place (due to their waiting list).

All of the affordable places around campus are filled with non-students now. The place I lived up until November had zero students in my building. Parents know this is happening and they see the crime in the area.. so they are paying for their kids to live in the nice new places.

I guess the ghetto is moving into Sharlo/Brightside? Old apartments become ghetto as new ones are built. Gardere was student housing when it was new.

i will say it's kind of sad that LSU has become so sterile

there used to be some real, uh, culture around the northgate

where do the artists and the counter culture live these days?

yea i think the lost fun was had at sterling. that was 1st year though and i had 10 guy friends in sterling from high school and 4 of our girlfriends from high school. we didnt get shite done in school.

oakbrook was fun but we had the 'party' apartment so it was always a zoo with people there getting fricked up every night.

Yeah, it would be nice if that could change. They're built some apartment complexes on that side, so maybe they're at least attracting more people to live over there.

I always wanted to rent one of those houses along Chimes street right behind some of the frat houses.

at the commons i woke up many times to people scattered along the floor with wine boxes and shite scattered everywhere

if i could find the maintenance guys from the commons 02-04 i'd give them a huge tip now for never narcing on us. we'd always leave the bong and hooka out like idiots and then we'd come home with a note that they had been there.
