I stayed at the corner of Aster and River Rd. Good times going on the levee and exploring stuff.

I wonder if the grounded ship is still there? It was pretty much right across River Rd from the poo poo plant.

The only cows I can remember were on the opposite side of TigerLand, behind Sterling and Commons. We'd cut through the pasture to get to TigerLand.

Also, the freaking Bull on the corner of River Rd and Gourrier, whose nuts were always scraping the ground.

Also lived on Harwich for a bit. Would get drunk and then hit golf balls over to Louisiana School for the Deaf yelling 'Fore'.

Personally, I would live on or near east Boyd regardless of cost. It's the best place to live for LSU students. Walking distance to the bars, close enough for gamedays, traffic isn't as bad as say... Ben hurr.

This, I was on the campus sides of Burbank and east Boyd for 2 years. It was the best place I ever lived. Gamedays were unbeatable

Plus it was only $50 more a months per person then LBP or u view and a whole lot nicer

I live at East Boyd Condos across the street. I'm in the process of job hunting, but damn I want this place for one more football season

I remember there being cows on the levee between the Vet School and downtown BR, but that was a very long time ago.

Don't date yourself! For me, it was 2003-2007. We would go climb the ship late at night, then head down and climb under the Mississippi bridge across from Riverside Towing.

Renting from 333 flats? I can only find info on buying the apartment

Decided to look these up just to see what they're going for. I found 3 different one bedroom apartments all less than 500 square feet listed for $149,000-$159,000.

$320/sqft for student housing in the form of a luxurious oversized walk-in closet.

They'll have trouble filling them in a decade or so, then rely on subsidized tenants after that....expanding the problems in Tigerland.

Yes. New construction is financed driven. Low interest rates encouraged by the federal reserve to prevent deflation.

Problem is, not enough students.

This is the perfect setup for older LSU properties (even 'newer' older ones) to see some new faces and new friends that they never expected.

did a year next door at sterling in 2000.

I was one of the first people to move in there. That first keg party at the pool that year for freshmen drop off was pretty epic. Think that was ythe night my roomate drove his Bronco threw the pond. Good times

Any given night you could hit up 5-8 parties walking threw that place. Get fricked up, kick a fence board out and stumble back home in Sterling. Very efficient
