I bought a bottle of Carnivor and it's very good. It's a cab, and it'll stain your teeth and lips but it's very smooth.

If you can find some Belle Glos Clark & Telephone Pinot. It's some of the best $50 Pinot I've ever had.

There is a label I favor called "Dark Horse" that makes some very good red varietals and a really good red blend. 4 bottles should get you in under $50 by a bit, and be enjoyed by whoever receives this excellent value gift. Look for the silver gray and black labels.

But if you want to spend $50 per bottle, go with some French or California estate (chateau) label.

19 CRIMES red or cab.
both are good. About $10-12 per bottle.
"The Warden" is better at $18-20 per.

Prisoner. It's a blend that most people enjoy. $40. I just bought 6 bottles for gifts. Gave three out last night and all three people said it was one of their favorite bottles.
