Austin sold more shirts.

That's what counts.

You might want to let him know that. Just let him down easy though.

Face Hogan would have stood up for the rights of single moms and respected women in general.

You would have hated him.

watched wrestling the day after the ppv. as I recall, bobby heenan kind of telegraphed it though. would've been even better

Austin is the bigger draw but Hogan was the one that allowed McMahon to bring it into the mainstream and make it a national sport rather than a regional one.

wwf isn't a billion dollar company wiithout Hogan. Also, he signed with wcw which then sparked a cable war which saw a resurgence for the "sport"

and man was it disappointing to find out that Hogan is a real person with real shortcomings and kind of piece of shite. there never be another because of social media and the kind of access audiences demand

Austin is a wife beating piece of shite, but since that was his character he gets a pass

Heenan didn't know. WCW liked to keep the announcers in the dark for a more "genuine" reaction. So when Hogan came out, Bobby did his same ole anti-Hogan commentary and said something like "who's side is he gonna take? Is he the third man?"

Hogan becoming a bad guy was such a damn good idea that wcw coasted by on that for 2 years. It was always boring.

WWF sucks now, they probably miss the competition. When I got out of the navy my roommate watched wrestling and man o man does it suck.

John Cena is so gay. Hogan was an infinitely bigger star. He's iconic.

What is a baby face or a heel?

And what does John Cena's slogan You Cant see me supposed to mean?

I saw undertaker retired, his had to be one of the few gimmicks that started in the cartoon era and kept it.

Hogan (the actor, not the poster) was not a baby face. He was bald on top, for crying out loud, with scraggly arse long hair below his bald spot.

A better example of a baby face, in the world of acting/wrestling, would have been Sterling Golden. At least he had some hair on top of his head.

I agree with this goldennugget. If you watch Rocky III you can really appreciate his baby face.

And I am glad he stuck it to Gawker. He is a high moral guy who didn't deserve what Gawker did to him.

South Carolina was always WCW country, so the most iconic and biggest baby face to me will always be this guy:
