You're right, we aren't buying a house or anything soon, but she definitely needs a vehicle upgrade. Her car is 15 years old (will be 17 years old if it makes it until then). I'll probably hold off a little bit on upgrading my vehicle, but I'm tired of the rough ride of the jeep on longer trips.
ETA: also, it's going to be hard not to spend some of this money that we'll have coming in. I've spent the last 5 years (will be 8 total when she's done) saving shite tons of money and living frugaly (to my standards) in order to pay my grad school and her professional school with cash. This shite is for the birds

It's just a firs time event in my life that I'm commenting on. It's never happened until today and I shared my experience with this board. You can't tell me that after almost 15 years of being a professional, starting so far ahead of your SO, that this would have zero effect on you. Not even thread worthy? I wasn't a dick to anyone, just looking for a bicycle gang to roam the streets with.
ETA: It was either this or a thread about how I'm taking my 8 year old to a musical tomorrow night. There were less dick sucking references in this thread, though there were some, than there would have been in the other.

I guess I always knew my wife would make more than me, so it is easy to accept. It's funny when you think about the swing though. I make about $80k more than her now, and in three years it will swing so she makes about $70k more than me. I'm okay with that.
