Why is this board obsessed with what is trashy?

It really comes across as very immature and a sign of insecurity. Like someone that needs to pass judgement and feel like they are better than someone else to feel better themselves. You know what is trashy? Being a shitty person. That is all. Nothing else. Someone can live in a trailer and have truck nuts and be a whole lot better of a person than someone who lives in a million dollar home.

Why do you think it's more prevalent in the South?
I've lived in quite a few different places throughout my life and I've found every single area to have a social hierarchy. Not just the South. Other areas may be better at hiding this fact, or not commenting on it nearly as much, but don't be confused it still exists very much so.

well there is a heirarchy amongst trash. Pure-T, Trailer Trash, Hayseed Trash, Hillbilly Trash, COGIC Hayseed,COGIC Hillbilly,Inbred Hayseed(or Trailer, or COGIC etc, lowest of all forms of trash and easily recognizable by their hybrid vigor) and then just general White Trash for those who do not fit the above Classical distinctions.
Being in Alabama, we have it down to a scientific taxonomy.There are many subgroups here like Sand Mountain (trailer, COGIC, Hayseed etc) Mt Brook Nuveau Trailer Trash, Mobile Mafia INbred Hayseed Trash, and the general first generation Country Club White Trash
