Thanks man.
I was holding mine when he took his last breath, banging on the vets door. It was horrible when it happened, but looking back, glad I was with him until the end.
Did you decide to get a new dog?

Got an answer?
Sounds like you're giving too many treats.

My animals are my kids
What the frick difference does it make?
I'd be a horrible people mommy, but I do ok with horses and dogs.

She could buy 6 lbs of chicken quarters and boil them with frozen carrots and peas. Cook a few cups of rice in water and feed that rat cheaper for two weeks than dog food. And Otis would eat the shite out of it.

I gave him one yesterday and two today. But I'll stop
He's just going to have to eat his food that he's always eaten
He's not drinking a ton of water but I don't know what's normal. He still pees a little every time I take him out

You're reinforcing your pet not eating the food provided. Cut and dry.
Most animals will eat a rug if hungry enough. Obviously the dog doesn't like the food you supply, but give it time and it'll eat the food from sheer hunger. You're welcome.
Eta: Do you give the dog attention while it eats the treat? Animals seek attention just like humans do. Perhaps try petting and reinforcing the dog eating its food instead of being happy it ate a treat and won't die in your bed.

The part about being a responsible parent? I fricking hate people that call their animals their kids and vise verse.
What's the vise versa part? You hate animals that call their owners their parents? Come across a lot if that?
And all that hate is bad for you.

One of mine had cancer and my ex's son called out he wasn't moving, I had just been napping with him a few minutes before and he was ok, so I ran into my room and he wasn't. I swooped him up to rush to the vet like a mile away and on the way I made an ambulance pull over! They were SO COOL and did what they could but it was too late, that one was rough because he was only 7. Easily a top 3 shittiest day of my like.
The other one I had to put to sleep due to seizures but she lived a lot longer than she was supposed to so it wasn't nearly as bad.

Yes I am getting a new one as soon as this heat passes. Dealing with a puppy when it is 110-115 out just isn't fun or fair to them.

Because then dog people won't buy extra "treats" for their animals.

Horrible to hear about your dogs.
I don't know about you, but mine was a lifesaver when I was going through the divorce. Unless you've been through it, you can't understand.

Ya if she wanted to kill her dog! You have to give it to them 100% raw, if you cook the bones they will splinter and kill/injure the dog but raw bones are totally fine.

A microwave wouldn't work. I guess the pup would love the baked ziti I made for her.
All good Paige.. You know it was good.

Thanks! Mine actually died right before my split, lovely huh? I would have given anything to have had them during all of that.

Idiot. Boil and pick the meat. I'm out, no cooks in here tonight.

That would be safe but its not as healthy for them and it kinda seems like a pain.
