It does taste like a treat to them their taste pallet is different than yours.

Topwater's right. Giving him treats will probably just prolong his not eating his food. Just keep his food out and when he's hungry enough, he'll eat it. I was dog sitting this dog that did the same thing. But once he got used to being in a different place, he started eating normally.

FYI, those treats are horrible as far as nutrition, and that's why you should only give them as treats.

Try a "raw diet", google it. Its just raw meat, like you give the dog half a chicken or some turkey necks that are totally raw and uncooked. Its what they are supposed to eat and they LOVE IT!

Better make sure he's not allergic to either. Mine's allergic to anything chicken. I put an egg over his food when he was a puppy for his coat and he puked like a maniac and broke out. He loves chicken too.

One of mine is allergic to some grain (I don't know which one). fricker has to eat expensive arse dog food.

Can't wait til his old arse goes to doggy heaven.
