Why don't people use the faucet during hurricane prep?

They will fist fight someone at Home Depot over a case of water. Meanwhile, back at home is a perfectly fine faucet that can fill up any and every container in your home.

Ha, agree. Go buy a couple of coolers with spouts and fill them up. Profit.

lol at anyone that thinks Dasani is better tasting than tap water. Like taste would really be a concern in a post hurricane situation anyway?

My parents had the bathtub bladder thing when they lived in Louisiana. I thought about getting one as an emergency prep item, but never did.

I guess it depends on how many sealable containers you've got. Bactria starts to grow in water left out after a few days.

It's probably one of those, this is the way we've always done it type of things. Probably back in the day, water would get contaminated or there were worries of it?

I was thinking about this the other day... if I filled all my brewing equipment with tap water, I'd have close to 150 gallons, all in clean sealable containers.

And that's not counting the beer.

frick waiting in line to buy bottled water.
