Why does my wife always want to run a train?Posted by Putty on 12/18/09 at 11:03 am
I got a call from the wife this morning. She said we have plans with friends this weekend and we’re going to run a train. Seems like every time we get together with friends lately, we’re running a train. I mean, I’ve got nothing against her friends and don’t mind hanging with them, but I know what I’m doing and don’t really feel like following three guys.
Plus, there’s a lot of coordination and effort that has to go into running a train. It’s exhausting. You have to pick the time, the place, get the lineup ready, and there’s always someone that takes too long and keeps everyone else waiting. There are always disagreements about who should go first…I never get to go first and I have to stare at some guys rear end for 30 minutes to an hour.
Can anyone explain this fascination my wife has with running a train?
