You're taking what other people drink way too seriously.

I have both in my house. When I feel like grinding, I grind. Otherwise, I take the pre-ground and make coffee. This isn't some Sumatran rare bean coffee. It's Community.

I'd liken it to hunting with a bow vs hunting with a gun. Do I enjoy hunting with a bow more? Yes. But don't think for one second the gun isn't coming out when the opportunity presents itself, because at the end of the day, I'm hunting to put meat in the freezer, not just for the "experience".

I did but my taxidermied wild game collection got kind of out of control and had to put some overflow there.... the coffee set up through off the asthetic so had to move it out

I'm not taking what other people drink too seriously. I don't care what you drink. I take what I drink seriously.

Oh, well this is odd.

Why don't you try other kinds, and why be snarky with the "rare bean" comment? That's a rhetorical question.

Like instant mash potatoes, I have tried to convince myself fresh ground coffee is better

Truth is, it isn’t discernible unless you really really try and taste the difference or have a pallet that is a douchebag

It is, but there's more to it than just being freshly ground.

Nah. They have done many blind taste tests. People as a whole can’t pick out fresh properly made coffee vs grocery store coffee put through a Mr. Coffee drip

That was a douchebag test. You failed

Well you failed when you started talking about the bloom in coffee

Because those grinders are fricking loud and I want to make coffee and go sit on the patio before everyone else wakes up.

We have similar concerns so we grind at night, put in machine, and set the timer on the machine.

you don't need some fancy coffee machine to use them.

A French press is arguably less fancy than automatic drip coffee maker.
