Says the guy that started a coffee snob thread

I get mine from a Honduran friend that brings it back when he visits his family. Its ground and I guarantee you its better than any of the shite beans you buy.

Guess I should have started a thread asking why doesnt EVERYONE get their coffee from Honduras??

But the quality is so much better is you just spend a little extra time and use a manual grinder
I mean if it's objectively better why not

The guy that I buy my beans from delivers them on his bike.

And he has a nose ring.

So yeah.

How are people in this thread making the leap from "why don't you grab a different bag at the store" to "why don't you buy a coffee farm in Colombia, staff it with natives, and install a roaster in your kitchen?"

Why does anyone buy bread? So much better to bake your own. Hell, get a horse, cheaper than a car.

What's the difference between "ground" and "pre-ground" coffee?

I'm going back to a better class of loser
This up-town living's really got me down
I need friends who don't pay their bills on home computers
And they buy their coffee beans already ground
You think it's disgraceful that they drink three-dollar wine
But a better class of loser suits me fine

Well, why don't you? Anything else is living in mediocrity.

If you want even stronger coffee, the lighter roasts have more caffeine.

Because there are areas that grow better coffee, in my opinion. I prefer beans from Ethiopia and Kenya.

Yeah I'm with the OP here. It's not more expensive and I already have a grinder, so why wouldn't I take 10 extra seconds and have a better tasting coffee from it? It's noticeably better.

It's also a noise issue. I'm the first one up and I'm not about to wake my wife and kid to have slightly better coffee. My parent's have a machine that fresh grinds then dispenses into the machine.... I fricking hate it. The room I stay in is on the second floor and shite still wakes me up

It's called sarcasm, genius.

Literally everyone makes decisions all day long about which conveniences are worth it to them vs which ones are not.

Some people wash their own cars, others pay to have it done.

Some people grind their own beans, others have it done for them.

It's really more just funny that instead of the OP starting off with a general statement or question, like "Who else grinds their own coffee beans?" or "I love the taste of coffee made from fresh ground beans" he instead started it with an insult to anyone that doesn't do that.

In other words, some people just can't help but be antagonistic.

You don't have a coffee room?

Well said. There's only so many hours in a day. We pick and choose which conveniences matter most to us. The antagonizing is on brand for the OT, though

Same reason that people buy K-cups or pay $12 for coffee from a coffee shop. People (including myself) are too damn lazy to make their own coffee the correct way in the morning.

Which is a fair reason. Some dudes here are acting like drinking anything but stale ground coffee will make you a tranny though
