Why do people still drink soda in 2016?

It's not that much different than smoking or chewing tobacco, yet those things are declining in usage.
Not to mention it makes teeth the color of dehydrated piss.
When I see little kids at restaurants get up and go to the soda fountain and get refill after refill, it makes me upset.

My 10 year old is grossed out by sodas, I try to explain to him how glorious Cokes were to us back in the day...but he just doesn't understand. Looking at it through his eyes I can sort of see the brown sludgy stuff for what it is.

Well FWIW, I don't drink cokes. I pretty much stick to coffee, water, and milk (excluding alcohol, of course).
But no judgment on those that do drink cokes. I just try and steer clear of them.
