Why do people (on here) feel the need to question people's religion?

There seems to be a thread every week making fun of/questioning/etc a religion. Why do you bother with it? Why not just let people believe what they believe as long as they aren't blowing you up?

Why question anything in life? The continuous search for knowledge. It is what separates us from the animals.

I don't understand, in this day and age, the level of comfort.

Without this we wouldn't have had a quarter of the wars mankind has endured since the dawn of time.

There's nothing wrong with that as long as when you question someone, it's done in a polite way, as opposed to "why the frick would you believe that?!"

in terms of Christianity, I only speak out against Catholicism. Any religion that overlooks and/or hides centuries of child molestation by priests needs to be dismantled.

do I agree with the beliefs of Evangelicals, Mormons, Jews, etc? Not at all, but there is only one Christian religion with a child molestation problem, and I will speak out against it for the rest of my life. sick f*cks.

Being a dick about something is the single best way to show your passion about it. Look at politics or sports or anything that people care about. You wanna be heard, you gotta be an a-hole.
