That is simply an underhanded dig at cops some here get off on. I will say that most cops do not have degrees but it does not prevent one from being hired it actually helps. Remember that most people in this state don't have a degree.

I think about 70% of our department has at least a 2 year degree. We have a lot of guys with Masters also.

It certainly helps with promotions.

The average pay for Louisiana is 37K

The average pay for Mississippi is 31K

I have already made over 31K this year.
