Not to hijack the thread, but I had something really strange happen to me on Friday.

We went out to lunch to a taco place. They had a three taco lunch. I ordered one chicken, one steak and one shrimp. This lady at the next table, several feet away, gets up and tells me that her son has a shrimp allergy and we are sitting too close for me to have shrimp.

I change the shrimp to a second steak without saying anything, but got to thinking - are shrimp allergies that sensitive. Son was probably 10 feet from me.

The appropriate response is multiple shotgunning or funneling if the apparatus is handy.

Seriously, who orders a beer at 7:30?

What man hasn't had a beer at 7:30 am? I'm usually on #4 or 5 by that time when I'm fishing.

I would have changed all 3 to shrimp with extra shrimp.

Then ordered everyone shrimp cocktails.

Then hired some dude with a sombrero and a ukelele to go sing.

"If shellfish kill him dead,
Then you should not have bred,
Leave south Louisiana,
Move to Wyoming instead!"

I would have had them move my seat. No way this works out well.

This is a thing with some older people I guess. I had a lady announce to the entire grocery store check out line that it was a good thing I was being carded because drunk drivers kill people. Was really awkward as it was at a place that cards everyone, I am obviously of age by several decades and it was a six pack of beer amongst a full grocery shopping trip in the middle of the day.

I hardly ever drink but I always drink on a flight. Not because I'm nervous. I love flying. I just do it because why not? Mad Men, bro.

Seriously? I would have told her to frick off. Don't bring your shrimp allergy offspring to a place that serves fricking shrimp. I would have then proceeded to change all of my tacos to shrimp. Some people are unfrickingreal.

You sound like a raging alcoholic if you are drinking that time in the morning.

F her. You're flying - that's always an excuse to get a buzz going.
