LOL. If that's what you think that whole rant was about then you need reading comprehension.

Sorry your resume, and or reputation are so piss poor that nobody has head-hunted you. BTW make sure you keep the minnows at the right temp or they will die on you.

What a preposterous idea, that would never work.

Actually, I've been offered plenty of jobs. Three in the past week. I've been head hunted by a few firms. This fricking state doesn't pay anything.

You have to be prepared to start your own business.

The average home price in Baton Rouge significantly out paces the average salary with rent prices comparable to a city twice its size. Recently I googled for the heck of it. You can get a one bedroom in DC that's decent quality for $1700-$2,000. In Baton Rouge, there are places that think they can get $1,300.00.

Buy you a house in NBR or the Presidents Streets. It'll be well in your price range and you won't have to be one of the "ignorant" white people fleeing from having to live next to black folk.

Why do you want to come back?

Isn't DC so much better?

GF is pressuring me to relocate back closer to her family. It's not particularly something I want to do. I started looking here and there just isn't anything available in my field that pays here.

Sure, I could go back home and make 90-100K but that doesn't really make my investment of time, etc. the past five years worth it. I made that when I left.

I'm trying to find the original article, but as of a few months ago New Orleans and Baton Rouge were 1 and 2 as far as prospective job outlook. In the entire country.

The gentrification train moves to BR.

Not saying that's a bad thing, btw.

You are 100% correct. The job market in LA is God awful. With Texas as LAs neighbor, don't expect that to change anytime soon.
