Interesting read on the newer and vastly more dangerous Russian military. It seems that some of their weapons surpass ours. Discuss.

He and others said that the biggest surprise so far has been the missile technology on display. The cruise missiles fired from Russian frigates and destroyers in the Caspian Sea were first tested only in 2012. With a range said to reach 900 miles, they had not been used in combat before, and despite the loss of four cruise missiles that crashed in Iran in one salvo, they represent a technological leap that could prove worrisome for military commanders in NATO. He noted that the advances in missile technologies improved the precision and firepower even of aging, Soviet-era ships or aircraft.

Bruh, your cruise missiles landed in the wrong fricking country.

Our military is so far ahead of theirs that it's honestly laughable to compare the two.

Drago is the perfect fighting machine. He killed a boastful Apollo Creed in a boxing match. He would break you.

Did you know that Dolph Lundgren has a degree in chemistry and a Masters in chemistry engineering(I don't even know what that means).

To echo navy's comments...anyone that can even get behind the first curtain knows they are second tier, third in areas of air power.

They can win by volume

For crimea's sake, they missed two countries away with cruise missiles...

That's like playing cornhole and kicking a dolphin for points

I've got to hit the shower so I'll read the link later. But one thing I'll point out is that while are cutting our military to pre-1940 levels, they're expanding and modernizing theirs.

Our military is full of degenerates right now... Gone are the days of "Johnny Soldier" the wholesome boy from down the street... Most soldiers who enlist don't have many other options regarding a career

Even if we cut our numbers down to 1940 levels, we still possess the more advanced military on the planet. It isn't about quantity anymore.

Our military is not the cream of the crop of American society (with the exception of Specialists and Academy grads)... The average soldier comes from poverty, a broken home, or does not have/want the option of college or career.

Not necessarily, with the cutbacks there are also cutbacks in supply, leading to serviceable problems. It would be interesting to see exactly what the readiness of our fighter squadrons (for example) is...in other words, just how many of the planes would be ready to go if needed?

The most advanced military won't be able to deal with overwhelming numbers. Sure, we could make a huge dent, but what happens when our super fighters run out of missiles and still face over whelming enemy fighters? Also, what about the kill ratio of the missiles? Do all work as stated or will there be failures? Now, what would happen if the satellites get taken out since we rely so much on them?

In a quick war, I have no doubt about our abilities. But, in a long, drawn-out war against a numerically superior foe, I wouldn't bet the house on us, especially considering how gutted our military has become under this admin.
