I'm going to have to wear a mask to get my haircut tomorrow. I need it though, so if they asked me to wear a tutu and high heels I'd probably do it.

Do we like the WHO again or are they still Chinese sympathizers? I can't keep up
The CDC and Fauci will fall in line soon.....of course if you think Fauci and the CDC are any different from the WHO then the joke is on you.

I think this ends up getting back to laws of small numbers again (what this whole thing has kind've been about).
NUMBERS BELOW HYPOTHETICALS
Lets leave you the house, and head to an environment where there is a 1% chance of sufficient exposure. Also say that the type of mask wearing that exists in the general public is only about 10% effective at preventing the required respiratory droplets from exiting the immediate vicinity of the infected patients mouth.
So, as an individual - this isn't such a big benefit:
Your chance of avoiding sufficient exposure on that date under a mask wearing regime drops from 1% to 0.9%.
However, at the community level, that 10% drop in R can have a significant impact. Starting with an initial case count of 100, and an average latent time to be able to infect additional people of 6 days:
No Mask Case (R=2): 100 initial infections, 5 generations (30 days) - 3200 infections
Mask Case (R=1.8): 100 initial infections, 5 generations - 1890 infections

Or they simply neglected to take the videos down. The WHO didn’t do anything new so I don’t think you can reaffirm something by not doing anything. I am not on the masks solve everything train either.

As a Democrat id read Fox News over NY post.
For instance, Fox News mentions that that was from a video posted in March. Ny post does not mention that.

The New York post just copied the Fox article. It even cites it.
I don't see anything recent from the WHO that supports what is being reported in that article. Pretty disappointing that they would publish this without any source.

If you are healthy, you only need to wear a mask if you are taking care of a person with COVID-19.
Wear a mask if you are coughing or sneezing.
Masks are effective only when used in combination with frequent hand-cleaning with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
If you wear a mask, then you must know how to use it and dispose of it properly.
They very clearly have not pulled a Fauci and completely changed their stance
Directly from The WHO

With the mask controversy being so big you would think the WHO would have recently made announcement about masks. The only thing I can find are those videos from February and March. Wether that is their current stance or not it’s just strange to not hear a peep out of them about it recently.

Truth is the WHO, Fauci, CDC, etc etc have all changed their stance multiple times on just about every issue
Isn’t that what scientists do with new data?

Is this a callback to the "Who's on first?" bit posted earlier in the thread? Ha.
