There are family members that I have nothing common with and just have no desire to communicate with. Tried it a few times out of sense of duty and not being a jerk, but that only reinforced my lack of desire to have anything to do with them.
I am not angry or bitter, but have no desire to have anything to do with them, and likely never to talk to them again.

Wouldn't say most important but I completely cut out a very good friend from my life when I found out he stole thousands of dollars from my dad's business to support his drug habit

The less I have to do with my parents the more enjoyable my life is. I used to think I had a problem with holiday stress. Nope. It was anxiety of seeing my parents so often at that time of year. I can cook entire holiday dinners/host out od town guests/anything rather than deal with my parents for five minutes.

This is where I am at with my mother. I had not spoken to her in months until she contacted me yesterday to just bitch about me. Not to say hey or anything. And all via text. When I tried to call her to talk she ignored 3 of my calls. Crazy bitch.

Never had any bad runins with family members...even if there was a little bad blood we could still act like grownups and be cordial.
