Actually, I think those checks are a bad idea. But this is not the board for that...

Former Pres and CEO of John H. Carter, a local business that's done quite well.

He lives near Blue Bayou.

His house was featured in the movie "The Toy".

He's a pretty nice guy, but not unlike most very wealthy guys.

Yeah he's pretty down to earth.

Sweet cars....

F40 - red

F50 - black

Enzo (not sure what / if any / he traded in to get it)

328 Ferrari

Boxer "I cant drive 55" video Ferrari

XKE Jag from the 60's.

He takes the Ferarri's out to the track, too.

Yeah, I've known him and his family for a long time. Not well, but well enough.

He's a pure self-made man from what I recall.

Thanks to everyone who responded. Now, who is A.C. Lewis?

A C Lewis before his death owned alot of proporites in BR and also owned the Belmont and Oak Manor hotels...

Which back in the days were the top hotels of choice in Baton Rouge..

When the movie the toy was filmed he housed all the cast including Richard Pryor and Jackie Gleason at the Belmont. His House on Old Perkins was used as the setting of Jackie Gleasons house in the movie.

A C Lewis also donated the YMCA that bears his name on North Foster..
