I just witnessed the sweetest, most innocent of my three dogs go full terrier, lunging head first into the ground before ripping out a groundhog that never stood a chance.
Sweet Jesus that was violent. My corgi ended up claiming the prize and I wasn't really sure how to feel after seeing how happy he appeared.

Here he is standing guard over what was left of his prize on the edge of the woods...

If cats count as wild animals, I've seen my boxer plenty of times.

My dog fought a nutria rat to the death. It almost ripped my dogs' ear off.

My Dalmatian absolutely destroyed a possum one night. Complete blindside and shook the thing so violently. I stood there in shock as he had never shown that side before.

Your dog got naked but left it's hat on? I hope you got that on video.

All six of my dogs have at some point, collectively or individually, reverted to primitive beast mode and rendered a creature- opossum, cat, coon, rat, etc- in front of me. It's an unsettling, disheartening thing to witness. But they are dogs, so it's not hard to understand.

No, but my dog would frick some wild animals up. 80 pounds of pure muscle, and he's part Doberman so he's a natural fighter. Jaw like a vice. Tackles like a LB, throwing his full weight at you and hitting you with his chest, wraps up with his arms and has a strong grip. Uses his paws to keep you under control.
He's only a 1.5 years so he does all that naturally. We still plan on having him trained as an attack/ guard dog.

He's also an alpha dog. He wasn't even half grown before he stared asserting dominance over our 110 pound golden retriever

When I was a kid, we had a rottweiler that was pretty damned territorial (not aggressive towards people or our other pets, just other animals). I witnessed her kill a stray cat. Won't go into detail about it, but you can imagine. Another time she got loose and killed a couple of ducks some lady was raising at a nearby farm. In retrospect, my parents were pretty irresponsible.

The corgi was nothing compared to my wheaten terrier. She's normally just a sweet, innocent pup that just aimlessly bounces around. My mastiff actually caught one right before they found this one, but right as she scooped it up, my prick corgi went barreling into her hind quarter, causing her to drop it(he normally does this to steal toys from her). That gave it just enough time to slip under my shed and live to see another day.

Here's the carnage about 30 seconds after the attack commenced. Maude, the terrier, had the other half about 10 feet away. WARNING: NSFW.

If you ever see this ten pound bag of hate on the same sidewalk as you, you better cross the street:

My lab used to wait at the door every morning to chase this little guy. Finally caught him slipping one day

That's dedication right there! I've never seen a dog snag a live squirrel.

My old lab/rot would bring random shite to the door weekly. Several moles, two squirrels, and a couple random birds and other rodents. I witnessed him catch a bird out of the air that had gotten trapped in our screened in porch. Watched it for a few fly bies and then snap! Even he was surprised and dropped it to the ground. Gave it a sniff and a nudge and the bird flew up suddenly and went straight out the door. I admit I was rooting for the bird. My boy just looked confused. Awesome guy he was.

My current dog is a fricking tard. She was happy to catch the broken fence board she found in the yard.
