that's what I was thinking, lot of people qualify for medicaid and don't realize it as well

Insurance only covered first million

For family member not me but I am paying the bills

This kind of attitude in this state is another reason why LSU will never be a first-rate public university.

Texas endowment: 7.2 billion
UC Berkeley: 3.3 billion
Michigan: 9.47 billion
Florida: 1.3 billion
UNC: 2.381 billion

LSU: 692 million

I paid them for a service. I feel no obligation to give them more money when I get no return from it. Just my opinion though. I don't care if someone else feels compelled to donate to their university.

Works but doesn't make enough to pay bills that come out to bout750 a month so I said id pay

I don't think paying tuition counts because The tuition is already subsidized by the state. LSU does not make a profit off of it students so by you paying for your children's tuition, you are simply funding their classes and other expenses at the school. You're getting a really good deal and not advancing the school. You are sustaining the school but you're not helping to build the endowment. Now why do schools have these huge endowments? That's a good question. I don't think they should. Should schools have billions of dollars and endowment? No no no.
