Perfect thread for the perfect time. I just caught myself dozing right now.

ETA: The office went to lunch for colleague b-day...I didn't want to eat all my food out of fear of falling asleep. Well, shite still hit me at 2:00 sharp, like it does everyday.

Sounds awful. I work the entire time and wouldn't have it any other way.

Raises hand.

I once fell asleep 10 minutes before it was time for me to go.

Never, that's completely unprofessional. However, I have crawled under my desk to fall asleep before.

Advantage: truck drivers.
Pull over onto the shoulder of an exit ramp and the bed is right behind the drivers seat.

I've never been 100% asleep at the office.

I took some Benadryl for allergies. That was a battle. I'd never taken it before and it was an epic battle to stay awake that day.

i had a guy who worked for me that i caught about 15-20 times in 6 years of work.

super good guy, he'd just close his door, turn the lights out, eat, and watch netflix during his lunchbreak. every now and then he'd fall asleep with the movie on and i'd give him a little knock if i saw the light was off after 1:15 or so.

good dude, good worker, just liked his naps.

It's all good. I used to think I was an a-hole for sleeping at work, but apparently I was in the majority.

Got one better than that.

I was typing a report and was struggling to keep my eyes open then must have dozed off and had one of those micro dreams about cheese quesadillas when I opened my eye I looked at the screen and there was a bunch of gibberish typed but in the middle whs the word "cheese.."

No shite I literally laughed out loud.

Never at my big boy job.

My last job working for a local city I have literally got to work, fell asleep till lunch, ate lunch, went back to sleep, left for home.

I call them "deep thought" sessions. Thankfully, I have an office.

I use to make that Vegas nonstop that would arrive in NOLA at 12:30 am or so, and I would go into work later that day. That was rough.

Every now and then when all I have to do is watch some sub all day I sometimes fall asleep especially in the summer when it's hot out but my office is a pickup truck.

I'm no doctor, but some of you guys might need to get blood work. I want to say that being anemic can cause stuff like this. Maybe low testosterone, too.
