He seems like a nice guy. I went to an Astros/Cubs game at Wrigley one year and before the game I ate at Harry Carey's restaurant. They announced on the PA that Ernie Banks was at the bar upstairs. I went up expecting to stand in line or something, but he was just hanging out at a table with a friend in their Cubs jerseys if you wanted to go up and talk.

Skip Bergman signed my glove when I was playing Tball. Used it for a few years after that so the signature is almost completely illegible.

I may have had the same glove. Kinda funny looking back that we had a glove of a player predominately known for being a DH. And his years in the field weren't really inspiring good glove work. Ha

Oh, and I'm not a Yankees fan, just what Pops bought for me.
Early- mid 80s, still have both in the attic somewhere.
Also had a wooden Louisville Slugger bat "signed" by Ted Simmons! Still have it, too.

I used 2 in the 80s-90s. My Dad's old Lew Burdette autograph and my Ryne Sandberg. Both by Rawlings.
