Who gives money to the homeless?

I wouldn't mind helping out someone who's down on their luck. I just don't want my money to go for drugs. Unfortunately, you can't know for sure where's it's gonna go.

They've never given Scruffy anything. Why should he give them money?

I gave money to a homeless girl at the door of Walmart yesterday. She claimed it was for some charity but I don't buy that for a second. She was awfully well dressed for a homeless person though.

I often give them money ... I figure I can spare a couple of bucks now and then and its on them if they use it for food or if they waste it..

So many of these "homeless" are people running scams or are criminals on the run from the law or just lowlifes making a living outside the "system" where all of their income is their's while I'm taved at over 30% that I tell em to frick off any more.
If you have the wherewithal to go around asking/scamming people for money then you have the wherewithal to get a job and work for your money like I do. There are government programs and non-governmental organizations and shelters for the truly homeless person.
I work hard for my money and pay a lot of taxes of which a large percentage goes to government-funded social programs. I give at the office.

Sometimes I do give them money , I figure why not a few bucks here and there won't hurt me but it might make their day .... And it doesn't matter to me whether they buy alcohol or drugs , why should I give a shite it's none of my business....

There's a girl who asks for money at a convenience store I go to regularly. She always looks strung out and I've never see her not smoking cigarettes. Every time she asks for change I tell her if she's smoking cigarettes I won't give her money. Burning 25-30 cents is not a compelling argument for free stuff to me.

I used to, then one time I gave a beggar 3 bucks and went to a store. Saw the same guy buying a case if natty light never have given money to a beggar since.

My wife keeps a bunch of "bum kits" made up for when we are in LA. Has soap, toothpaste, some food and water in it and other shite. Kinda like Christmas boxes, but for hobos.
