A Kansas City-area man has pleaded guilty to duping dozens of women into having sex with him on camera by telling them they were rehearsing for roles in pornographic movies.

Is there a specific ordinance against that?

10yr sentence. Ouch. Most rapists, etc. don't get that.

How do you get 10 years for that? It's not his fault they're guillable as hell. I like his strategy.

Dipshit should have chosen his words more carefully. He should have called it an "audition"

And he offered thousands of dollars each? Jesus, I know he's pretty ugly and all but these girls were rolling in thinking they should get paid like Traci Lords or Ginger Lynn. Spoiled fricking millenials.

I never understood the rationale on this.

I'll pay you $1,000 to have sex = illegal.
I'll pay you $1,000 to have sex, film it, and sell it= legal

Not saying that is what happened here, but still

Yep. Should have gone the audition route. Shoped it to your friends but they weren't interested in signing the talent.

Couldn't the same be said about every other type of fraud?

I wonder about the legalities of all of this.

They were basically prostituting themselves and He refused to pay.

The charge or wire fraud is so dubious. They just wanted to make an example out of this dude.

Does a fraud charge require any reasonable diligence on the part of the defrauded in the way that satire is exempted from libel laws under the reasonable person standard? In this particular case it seems it should.

Those videos are hilarious.

"Hey how you doing?"
"Nice to meet you"
...
"Oh sure I will suck your cock!"
