Meh, it's college kids doing what college kids do. I see nothing wrong with misguided activism. But when I was a student there, I remember at least a bare minimum fact-checking. This Perkins girl that made waves with (probably) false accusations seems to have free reign to make baseless claims with no editorial oversight. It's an embarrassment to the university.

This is what happens when you treat the paper as your personal soapbox, ban certain types of advertising, hire horrible people in your sales department and treat your advertisers like shite.. They always just assumed that since they were attached to the school that the school would always be there to prop them up.. frick those idiots..

Frick that, I am a sophomore at LSU and a minority at that. I still don't bitch about the things some of these kids do. I especially can't stand the Indian girl who writes every day. From one Indian to another, I strongly dislike her race-baiting tactics. These people aren't misguided, they are evil and want everything handed to them.

Campus crime briefs. The arrest reports are always amusing.

Interviews with meth heads in 2004 was awesome. A guy literally lost 100lbs in less than 2 months

They started the personals section while I was there. Some of those things were golden.

Somebody bought a fake personal ad for a guy we knew. I can't remember the details, but it was quite amusing.

When I was at LSU in the mid '90s, I used to read every one that came out...actually looked forward to it. Why do people not like it now?

I read it while I was at LSU in between classes. The logic and dispositions of the op Ed writers embarrassed me as a student but it passed the time.

Same here. I read from 2000-2004/5

Tommy Santora always a big auburn fan. So it was fun reading his sports columns.

Jay melder was strange.

The tiger weekly was good too especially the rant and rave.

Sounds like the reveille went to shite

Every day, in the 1980's.

Do they still print it or is it online?

Most people use it to start fires or trash fraternity houses for the pledges to clean up. Their current editor seems to be especially whiney and retarded compared to the past few and it has become a shitty version of The Onion lately. Nobody reads that crap and that's why it's being reduced.

I read it almost daily from 04-08. The most controversial article was the annual "LSU confederate flag is racist" opinion. Sodoku got me through my first class or two of the day. Didn't realize the paper decided to go the SJW route.

In the 90s the editor was obsessed with the squirrels on campus. That's about my only memory of the Reveille.

Oh, and the Gattis coupons.
