I saw someone share a post from them today of an editorial piece basically crying at how the Advocate didn't want to help them save the paper (that was my interpretation).

I've only ever heard people talk about the puzzles from it. Do people actually still read it?

I've only used them to discretely pass drugs and money back and forth.

But following The Advocate’s shockingly glib editorial on Wednesday regarding The Daily Reveille’s student-led decision to reduce print frequency, that’s a presidential designation I wish Obama would have waited to bestow upon Advocate editorial page editors Danny Heitman and Lanny Keller, editor in chief Peter Kovacs, general manager Sheila Runnels and publisher Dan Shea.

Yep, the President should have called out the fricking Advocate

quote:

The Advocate’s gravest omission, though, is this: After it published an impassioned editorial in August 2015 — titled, “Avoid downhill path to extinction - keep LSU's Reveille a daily paper” — representatives from the LSU Office of Student Media met personally with Advocate publisher Dan Shea on May 19 to beg The Advocate to put its money where its mouth was and help shoulder some of the burden of the Reveille’s printing costs.

The Reveille editor sure is a bitch

It is 100% toilet paper. I don't know who runs it, but I haven't seen a Reveille article worth reading ever.

I read it every day just to laugh at the Op-ed pieces. Those SJWs really bother me.

When I started in 2012 you could sometimes find something worth scanning while waiting on class to start or on the bus on the way to class, but by the time i graduated last year it was so awful I stopped even picking it up to do the crossword because I didn't want them to see that an issue had been taken out of the bin.

It's a waste of student funds for SJWs to have their opinion articles broadcasted and piss everyone off.

Campus crime briefs. The arrest reports are always amusing.

Only when I was in school there 1997-2001. They were stacked up outside the Quad so why not grab one on the way? It killed a few minutes before class. There was a second paper too...called Tiger Rag or something like that...it was okay too.

I got my hands on a copy of the Reville recently and it seems like garbage compared to 15 years ago.

Who reads the LSU student newspaper? Do you really need to ask that question?
