Two white women have been forced to close their pop-up burrito shop after they were accused of cultural appropriation.

'Stealing is in their nature so I'm not surprised. They're not creative so they had to get the idea from someone,' Tee McNeill wrote on Facebook.

I guess whitey is not allowed to cook Mexican food.

I can't imagine the level of brain washing it takes for a person to buy into ideas like cultural appropriation.

The whole idea of certain food/music/style for only certain people, is the kind of stereotyping and segregating idea that we are supposed to be moving away from, yet people are bringing it back. And they dont realize that they are dividing people into groups.

Cultural appropriation is cultural evolution. The best aspects are adopted and utilized. Those not worthwhile fall by the wayside. I don't understand why what race/ethnicity you are precludes you from enjoying all different types of food, art, music, and culture.

I feel like buying into cultural appropriation is, in itself, cultural appropriation.

I thought burritos were a solely American creation? Created by Mexican immigrants here in America (SoCal or Texas).

Stealing is in whose nature??

I don't have to constantly watch over my possessions when I travel in this country. I can't say the same for other places I've been
