If you have an engineering degree from LSU, your discipline is not the only students you know or hang around. You know who is struggling and who is intelligent enough to handle engineering coursework. You can tell which ones are harder.

I didn't really hang out with anyone outside of my discipline

Maybe the first couple years a little bit, but not when I was taking discipline specific courses

ChemE

Physical chemistry, both organic chemistries, two thermo classes, mass transfer.

The time sink involved just to pass ChemE classes is absurd.

Find someone who has gotten a degree in all of them and I'll take their opinion seriously.

Till then, this is an endless pissing match.
