Where would you rather raise children: the suburbs, the city, or the country?

Well it depends on what city, suburbs or country.

And how much you would make in each setting

The ideal place to raise children would be in a rural/exurban homestead on 100+ acres, that is relatively close to a quality private education if boarding school in Virginia, California, or the Northeast isn't an option.

Depends on 3 factors:
How much do I make?
Where do I work?
How are the schools?

I think proximity to extended family is more important than population density

Kids should be near their grandparents, cousins, aunts/uncles

I agree.

I think suburbs&public schools lead to the most degeneracy.

Ideal would be in the country with quality education options.

Small town. A nice small town, not a podunk small town.

Given the option, I wouldn't raise children. But since the damage is done, they're getting raised wherever the frick I feel like being.

Screw the suburbs. IMHO, they tend to raise lazy, passionless and introverted people. There's nothing to do and there are no real opportunities to grow in the suburbs and you can't fully develope if you aren't exposed to a lot.

So basically, I have infinite money and can live anywhere?

That's a tough question.

That's not really what I was going for, but sure.

I was thinking equal cost of living adjusted salaries and comparable education opportunities.

Completely agree. Suburbs are generic and boring as hell.

It would either be a really nice "uptown"-esque neighborhood in a large city or a rural area where I have my own woodlands and water access to the ocean.

Suburbs suck. They're the worst of both worlds.
